The numerical architecture is part of the simulation.

The biological behavior is an approximation.

The system is inspired by biological mechanisms, but it does not reproduce every neuron, synapse or molecular process of an actual flea.

The purpose is not to claim perfect replication.

The purpose is to explore how much behavior can emerge from a compact nervous system.
